The “Hallo Frühchen” app was primarily designed for pre-school aged children. It provides information on the subject of premature birth in a child-friendly way both illustratively and narratively. In this way it contributes to a better understanding for siblings, but also for previously premature children themselves, for the special initial situation experienced. On behalf of one’s own experience the story of Amelie, a kindergarten child, is told. Her little brother also comes to the world sooner than planned. She is accompanied by her stuffed animal tiger, Tassilo, during this initial turbulent time.
